10 Helpful Hints to Keep Your Costs Down and Exhibit with Ease!

Market is just around the corner! Follow these 10 Helpful Hints to keep your costs down

Hint # 1: Get all your forms in on time! December 16, 2011 is the pre-order rate deadline.

 

Hint # 2: Follow the shipping schedule and guidelines!

Advance deliveries to the warehouse can be made December 26-January 13, 8am – 3 pm.

• Advance receiving warehouse does not accept shipments on weekends and holidays.

• There is a window between July 13- July 18 that you cannot ship to either the dock

or the advanced warehouse.

• All freight must be no larger than 5' wide x 10' long X 5'8" high and weigh less than

2,000 pounds.

• All shipments from the show should be schedule for picked up Wednesday, January 25, 8am – Noon

 

Hint #3: Fed Ex will not pick up your goods from the show floor.

 

Hint #4: Clear the booth walls before you leave. Remove any nails, screws, vinyl lettering,

stickers, signage or anything else that has been put up for the show before you leave.

 

Hint #5: Follow the union labor rules. The Merchandise Mart is a union building, the

Operations department is your liaison between you and the union. If you have questions

Hint #6: Follow MMPI building electrical rules. If you have any questions or are

planning to bring your own lights, please call Lauren Weiss at 312-527-3066. We offer a

lighting package for $180.25 for 6 floodlights, or $38.50 per light

 

Hint #7: Do not get in line for move out until you are done packing up. If they come to

move you and you are not ready, you go to the end of the line.

 

Hint #8: Set-up Hours are strictly:

WED, January 18 | 8 am – 4 pm

THURS, January 19 | 8 am – 6 pm

FRI, January 20 | 8 am – 5 pm

***Dock closes at 3 pm each day***

 

Hint #9: Drayage from the dock to the show floor. This is a first come first serve

situation. Please be patient once you pull into the dock
